The 3rd edition of NTPC's Women Leadership Conclave was held on 8th March 2022 on International Women's Day to celebrate women's leadership, grit and inspiration. The Conclave hosts national-level women icons from diverse fields like defence forces, academia, literary circuits, creative arts, corporates, etc. who share their journey and life lessons with participants through interactive sessions.
The Conclave was inaugurated by Shri M S D Bhattamishra, ED(HR) who also delivered the keynote address. He shared the special initiatives taken by NTPC for women employees and how the GEM program has contributed to the empowerment of schoolgirls from the areas surrounding NTPC projects/stations. He congratulated women for their exemplary contribution towards building the workplace, society, and nation.
In the first session of the Conclave Ms Rashmi Bhardwaj - writer, poet, editor - Meraki Magazine and winner of Gyanpeeth Navlekhan Award 2016 - shared her journey in the field of writing, the challenges she faced and how she overcame them.
In subsequent sessions, Wing Commander Manisa Pati and Squadron Leader Harsimranjeet Kaur from the Indian Air Force shared their stupendous journey with the armed forces.
Dr. Anjana Vinod who is a Senior Consultant, Corporate Trainer (SHRM) and breast cancer coach, urged women to believe in themselves and maintain a ‘never say die’ attitude amidst challenges.
Dr. Archana Shukla, Director, IIM Lucknow spoke about the social conditioning of males and females in childhood leads to biases and how it must be broken by placing merit before gender.
Ms. Moumala Nayak, renowned Kathak exponent shared her journey in performing arts and the challenges that came with it.
The Conclave was physically attended by E6 and above level women executives from NTPC CC/EOC while employees from all NTPC locations participated through webcast mode and YouTube Live.
